Spiral Up Games Enters the Scene as a Bridge to the Chinese Gaming Market

Spiral Up Games has joined the ranks of indie publishers, differentiating itself by leveraging its expertise in promoting games in China. The Singapore-based company provides financial backing and a range of publishing services for games in North America and Europe, while also emphasizing its balanced approach that includes specialized knowledge of the Chinese market. According to Spiral Up Games CEO Aldric Chang, successfully marketing a game in China requires navigating cultural nuances and establishing connections with local influencers and media, a challenge for publishers without a regional presence. Chang noted, "To tap into this vast and expanding market, you need to understand the intricacies of the Chinese gaming landscape, which we are equipped to handle, setting us apart from many other publishers." With a background as a serial entrepreneur, having founded Mixed Realms, Swag Soft Holdings, and MediaFreaks, Chang brings extensive experience to Spiral Up Games. The publisher has announced three upcoming titles slated for release next year: Wandering Sword, a Chinese martial arts RPG; Back to the Dawn, a prison-escape game; and Affogato, a reverse tower defense RPG.
