Introducing the Meta Quest Pro: A Revolutionary VR Headset

Initial Report, October 11, 2022: Today, Meta introduced its latest innovation, the Meta Quest Pro, at the Connect Keynote 2022. The cutting-edge VR headset is set to launch on October 25, priced at $1,499, with an impressive 256 GB of storage. Compared to its predecessor, the Meta Quest 2, the Pro boasts optical lenses that are 40% lighter, as stated by Meta. Additionally, it features higher-resolution screens, offering an enhanced visual experience. The new headset also includes advanced facial and eye tracking capabilities, designed to improve social interactions within apps by mirroring users' expressions through their avatars. Furthermore, the Meta Quest Pro will come with a self-tracking controller, compatible with the Quest 2, which will be available for separate purchase at $300 later this year. Meta has confirmed that the Quest 2 will remain available for purchase alongside the new Pro headset. Notably, the Meta Quest Pro will be fully compatible with the extensive library of apps available for the Meta Quest 2, unlike the recently announced PSVR 2, which lacks backwards compatibility.
