Story Kitchen Emerges: A New Media Venture from Sonic the Hedgehog Producer

Noted film producer Dmitri Johnson, known for his work on the Sonic the Hedgehog film series, has collaborated with renowned screenwriter Derek Kolstad, of the John Wick franchise, to establish Story Kitchen, a novel media enterprise. As the founder of dj2 Entertainment, Johnson has been instrumental in bringing video game adaptations to life on the big screen and beyond, with forthcoming projects including a Tomb Raider television series and a film adaptation of the hit game It Takes Two. Kolstad, aside from his work on John Wick, is currently involved in the production of a Splinter Cell anime series with Netflix. The company's founding members also include Mike Goldberg, a partner at APA, who has previously worked with dj2 Entertainment and its clientele. Although Story Kitchen has yet to announce its inaugural projects, it is likely that the company's focus will be on gaming-related content, as hinted by Johnson's statement that they will be 'tripling down on adaptations' with unannounced projects in development.
