Ubisoft Pushes Back Skull & Bones Release to March
The release of Skull & Bones has been postponed once again, with the launch date now set for March 9, 2023, instead of the previously announced November 8. According to Ubisoft, although the game's development is essentially complete, the extra time will be utilized to enhance and balance the gaming experience based on feedback from recent technical tests and the Insider Program. This decision is deemed beneficial for both players and the game's long-term success, as the new release window provides a more favorable environment for this unique new brand. The original November release window was crowded, with notable titles like God of War Ragnarok, Sonic Frontiers, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Bayonetta 3, whereas the new release window in March is less competitive, with nearby releases including Resident Evil 4 Remake and Destiny 2: Lightfall. Initially announced at E3 2017 with a planned holiday 2018 release, Skull & Bones has experienced multiple delays, with Ubisoft consistently pushing it back during their annual earnings reports in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
