Stray Debuts at Number 3 in the UK Boxed Charts

The physical version of Stray achieved the highest sales for a new release, securing the third spot in its first week. Initially released digitally for PS5, PS4, and PC in July, a physical edition for PS5 was published by Annapurna Interactive last week, with the game also being offered to PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers at no extra charge. The only other newcomer to the charts was Square Enix's The DioField Chronicle, a fantasy strategy game, which debuted at number 17. Meanwhile, Splatoon 3 retained its position as the best-selling boxed game, marking its third consecutive week at number one despite experiencing a 44% decline in sales. Nintendo's Mario Kart 8 Deluxe rose to second place, although sales decreased by 5% compared to the previous week. Notably, Grand Theft Auto 5 saw a 21% increase in sales, moving from ninth to fifth place, and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga jumped from 18th to 10th due to a retailer promotion, with sales rising by 43%.
