Theorycraft Games Secures $50 Million in Series B Funding

Theorycraft Games has revealed a successful Series B funding round, garnering $50 million in investments. Established in 2020 by a team of gaming industry veterans including Joe Tung, Mike Tipul, Michael Evans, Areeb Pirani, and Moby Francke, who collectively boast experience from prominent studios like Blizzard, Bungie, Riot, and Valve, the company is poised for growth. The newly acquired funds are earmarked for the development of its inaugural title, codenamed Loki, as well as expanding its team. Furthermore, Theorycraft has announced the appointment of Jon Belliss, previously the game director for League of Legends, as its latest key hire. This move follows the appointment of Andrew Yip as lead game systems designer in May. According to CEO Joe Tung, "The reason we're attracting top talent and investors is our unwavering commitment to creating games that cater to fundamental human needs.
