Top Mobile Game Publishers Dominate the Market with $27 Billion in H1 Revenue
According to a recent report by Sensor Tower, the top 1% of global mobile game publishers have amassed a staggering $27 billion in revenue during the first half of 2022. These 460 companies were responsible for 93% of total consumer spending during this period, leaving the remaining 7% to be shared among other publishers, which amounted to $2 billion. The report highlights that the top 1% of publishers generated their revenue from a pool of 46,000 game publishers. Furthermore, when considering both gaming and non-gaming apps, the top 1,800 publishers accounted for 91% of all revenue in H1 2022, with a total of $42 billion. The remaining 9% of the market share was valued at $4 billion, derived from consumer spending.
