The upcoming Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has unveiled the full roster of exhibitors slated to appear at the 2026 edition, highlighting a vibrant mix of industry heavyweights and emerging talent. Among the marquee names confirmed are Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be represented through their official partners rather than direct corporate booths. Notably, Sony will be absent from the exhibition floor this year, a contrast to the presence of both Nintendo and Xbox at last month’s event.
In addition to the headline brands, a diverse array of companies will occupy space in the show’s expansive exhibition hall. These include indie and mid‑size developers such as 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline and Kuro Games, as well as technology providers like Razer, AMD and Lenovo.
The mixture of hardware manufacturers, software studios, and service platforms underscores the event’s ambition to serve as a comprehensive marketplace for all facets of the gaming ecosystem. The business area, a dedicated zone for B2B networking, will showcase pavilions from 25 different countries and regions. Visitors can expect to wander through national stands representing Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation Thailand, among others.
Each pavilion will spotlight local talent, government initiatives, and market opportunities, offering a panoramic view of the global gaming landscape and facilitating cross‑border collaborations. Beyond the static exhibition, the programme is packed with interactive elements designed to foster innovation and investment.
The show will host both pitch and reverse‑pitch contests, giving developers a platform to present their concepts to potential publishers and, conversely, allowing investors to outline the types of projects they are seeking. Xsolla, a leading payment and distribution platform, will sponsor the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience," a curated series of face‑to‑face meetings that aim to bridge developers, publishers and financiers in a more intimate setting. The speaking schedule is equally robust, featuring over 70 speakers drawn from more than 20 countries across four dedicated stages. Veteran game designer John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, will deliver a keynote titled "Why We Still Make Games," during which he will also receive the event’s lifetime achievement award, honoring his enduring influence on the industry.
Complementing Romero’s talk, a slate of other distinguished presenters will share insights on topics ranging from creative direction to market strategy. These include Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio, Zhen Fang – Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot engine, and Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt. The 2026 edition is being co‑organized by Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station, a partnership that reflects the event’s trans‑regional ambition. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the growing international focus: "This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality, bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by Thailand's Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA)." Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, added perspective on the market’s evolution: "Last year's success, with over 200,000 attendees, clearly demonstrates that Thailand is not just a consumer market but a pivotal driver of culture and the creative economy across Asia." His remarks highlight the strategic importance of the Thai market, both as a massive audience and as a burgeoning hub for game development talent.
The venue for the event will be the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, with the public exhibition running from October 29 to November 1, 2026. The business area, however, will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, allowing for focused networking and deal‑making before the doors open to the wider public. Reflecting on the inaugural Gamescom x Thailand Game Show held the previous year, the organizers note that the event attracted 206,159 visitors representing 95 countries, while the business zone welcomed 5,590 professionals from 81 nations over four days. Those figures set a high benchmark for 2026, and the expanded exhibitor list, additional country pavilions, and enriched conference agenda are all aimed at surpassing that milestone, cementing the show’s status as a premier gathering for the global gaming community.
