UK Sees Record-Breaking PC Launch for Spider-Man Remastered on PlayStation

According to recent GSD data, Spider-Man Remastered has become the fastest-selling PC launch for PlayStation in the UK. Its first-week sales exceeded those of God of War, the previous major PlayStation PC release, by 26%. This places Spider-Man Remastered as the fourth largest PC game launch in the UK this year, following Elden Ring, Total War: Warhammer 3, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The success of Spider-Man Remastered marks a significant milestone in PlayStation's expansion into the PC market, aiming to broaden its intellectual property reach and attract new audiences. In 2021, PC titles generated $80 million for PlayStation, with projections indicating this figure will rise to $300 million in the current year. By March 2022, the combined PC releases of Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and God of War had earned $108.9 million in revenue for Sony, with unit sales reaching 2.3 million for Horizon, 852,000 for Days Gone, and 971,000 for God of War.
