Virtuos Expands Presence with New Kuala Lumpur Studio

Virtuos, a Singapore-based game development studio, has established a new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, serving as a key development hub. The studio aims to create new opportunities for regional talent through various roles and training programs. After a soft launch in 2021, Virtuos Kuala Lumpur is now led by General Manager Mufizal Mokhtar and boasts a team of over 90 employees. Mokhtar expressed his enthusiasm for returning to his hometown to build the studio, stating, "We're thrilled to contribute to Malaysia's thriving game development industry and digital ecosystem. With the support of the Malaysian Government and our global network, we look forward to welcoming top talent to our diverse team and collaborating to create exceptional gaming experiences." This expansion is part of Virtuos' ongoing efforts to broaden its services, following recent acquisitions of Vietnamese art production company Glass Egg and Ukrainian art studio Volmi Games, as well as an investment in Canadian games studio Umanaïa Interactive.
