UK Gaming Community Unites to Raise £400,000 for Make-A-Wish

A collective effort by several game development studios has resulted in a £400,000 donation to Make-A-Wish UK, a charity dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for children with critical illnesses. The 'Wish 200 week' initiative, which took place from July 18 to 22, saw the participation of prominent developers such as Miniclip, Huuuge Games, and Hutch, along with multiple streamers who hosted fundraising broadcasts throughout the week. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to grant wishes to 200 children across the UK. "The gaming community has once again demonstrated its capacity for compassion and generosity, coming together to achieve an extraordinary goal," stated Rob Small, president of Miniclip and patron of Make-A-Wish UK. "I am honored to be part of this exceptional community, which has enabled Make-A-Wish to transform the lives of 200 critically ill children and young adults." This initiative was first launched in 2021 as the 'Wish 100 Week,' where Miniclip president Rob Small collaborated with Huuuge Games and other companies to raise £200,000, granting wishes to 100 ill children.
