Concept Ventures Unveils $60 Million Pre-Seed Fund for UK Gaming Startups

Concept Ventures has announced the launch of a $60 million pre-seed fund, dubbed The Fund, with the backing of the British Business Bank. This fund is among the few pre-seed investments in the UK that focus specifically on the gaming sector. The British Business Bank's Enterprise Capital Funds program has committed $36 million to The Fund. Over the next four years, Concept Ventures plans to invest in over 60 startups, with individual investments ranging from £100,000 to £600,000. According to Reece Chowdhry, General Partner at Concept, 'The pre-seed ecosystem has a significant gap, with too few funds offering specialized pre-seed expertise.' Concept Ventures, founded in 2018 and previously known as RLC Ventures, has invested in companies like Pocket Burger, Labworks.io, and Included Games, and is now focused on providing the necessary funding, expertise, and network for startups to thrive.
