Sam Lake of Remedy to Deliver Keynote at Develop:Brighton 2025

Remedy Entertainment's creative director, Sam Lake, is set to deliver the keynote address at this year's Develop:Brighton conference, marking a significant milestone for the studio as it celebrates 30 years in the gaming industry. The keynote session, titled 'Remedy's Sam Lake: 30 Years of Storytelling', will delve into the studio's journey, exploring how its approach to storytelling has evolved over the years. Lake expressed his pride in the studio's accomplishments, stating, 'I feel we've been on a logical path forward, always building on the foundation and learnings of our previous games.' He also noted that the studio will continue to experiment and explore new directions, particularly within the Remedy connected universe, which includes franchises like Alan Wake and Control. The upcoming project, FBC: Firebreak, a multiplayer first-person shooter, is a step in this direction. Remedy is also working on the sequel to Control and remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2. The Develop:Brighton 2025 conference will take place from July 8 to July 10 at the Hilton Brighton Metropole, featuring a range of session tracks and speakers from prominent game development studios.
