UK Monthly Charts See December Growth with EA Sports FC 24 and PS5

The UK gaming market experienced a 2% increase in sales during December, with 6.9 million games sold, according to data from GSD. This growth is attributed to strong sales of EA Sports FC 24, which reclaimed the top spot, and pre-Christmas sales activity. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 fell to second place, while Hogwarts Legacy and Super Mario Bros Wonder saw significant sales jumps. The PS5 console led the market, despite a 19% decline in sales from the previous month. Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series S and X followed, with sales increases of 39% and 6%, respectively. The accessories market also saw a notable boost, with a 63% increase in sales, driven by strong console sales and dominated by DualSense controllers.
