UK Boxed Charts: Sonic Frontiers and Mario + Rabbids Return to Top Ten
The UK boxed chart leading up to Christmas saw minimal changes, with FIFA 23 holding the top spot and experiencing a 16% sales increase. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and God of War: Ragnarok followed, with sales rising 2% and falling 7%, respectively. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe maintained its fourth position with a 4% sales decline, while Pokémon Violet held sixth place with an 8% decrease. Nintendo Switch Sports remained at number six, with flat sales. Sonic Frontiers re-entered the Top Ten at number seven, driven by discounts that lowered its price to under £32. The Nintendo Switch version was the best-selling edition. Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope also re-entered the charts at number nine, following a 50% sales spike due to discounts that brought its price down to around £30. The game's sales have more than tripled over the past two weeks. Its predecessor, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, remained a competitor, selling for under £15 and ranking 15th. Recent releases saw The Callisto Protocol drop out of the Top 20, while Need for Speed: Unbound experienced a 4% sales increase. Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion plummeted 22 places due to a 76% sales decline.
