During the first six months of 2026, CD Projekt Red posted revenue of $116.5 million (approximately 435 million PLN), representing a 23 percent increase compared to the same period a year earlier. The company’s bottom line also improved markedly, with net profit climbing 37 percent to $66.7 million (about 249 million PLN), and its profit margin soaring to an impressive 57.2 percent. The firm outlined an ambitious three‑year rollout plan for its flagship series, The Witcher. Central to this schedule is the launch of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, slated for September 29.
The updated edition will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and, for the first time, will run natively on the new Nintendo Switch 2 hardware. Existing owners of the original game will receive the remaster at no extra cost, and the package will bundle both of the original expansions, ensuring a complete experience for returning players. In addition to the console and PC releases, CD Projekt Red has entered a strategic partnership with Blizzard Entertainment.
Through this alliance, the Remastered version and the forthcoming expansion titled Songs of the Past will be distributed via Blizzard’s Battle.net platform, extending the game’s reach to Blizzard’s extensive user base and providing a seamless download and update infrastructure. Sales figures for The Witcher franchise continue to climb. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt alone has now surpassed 65 million copies sold worldwide, while the broader series—encompassing the earlier titles and spin‑offs—has collectively moved more than 90 million units. These numbers underscore the enduring popularity of the series and its ability to attract new audiences even years after the original release.
The company’s other marquee property, Cyberpunk 2077, also remains a strong revenue generator. To date, the game has sold over 40 million copies.
Its major downloadable content, the Phantom Liberty expansion, has achieved 15 million sales in less than three years, demonstrating robust post‑launch support and player engagement. Moreover, the Cyberpunk universe has been expanding beyond the core game: references to Night City appeared in the recent titles Wuthering Waves and Apex Legends, and a Cyberpunk‑themed trading card game launched on Kickstarter, quickly becoming the platform’s most‑funded project to date.
Looking ahead, CD Projekt Red is preparing to release Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, a sequel to the popular animated series co‑produced with Studio Trigger. The new season is scheduled to debut on Netflix on October 20, further cementing the brand’s cross‑media presence. Chief Financial Officer Piotr Nielubowicz highlighted that licensing deals, such as the Netflix series and the Battle.net partnership, are becoming increasingly pivotal to the company’s financial health, complementing the steady stream of sales from both The Witcher and Cyberpunk franchises. Earlier in the year, the developer announced a third expansion for The Witcher 3, originally released in 2015.
In the same announcement, CD Projekt Red disclosed a modest 6 percent rise in total revenue for the first quarter, reaching $52.5 million (191 million PLN). This incremental growth reflected ongoing demand for the franchise’s existing content and the positive impact of early‑year promotional activities. In June, the parent company CD Projekt confirmed a rebranding decision, officially changing its corporate name to CD Projekt Red.
The move aims to unify the company’s public identity with its most recognizable development studio, reinforcing brand consistency across all of its gaming and entertainment ventures. Overall, CD Projekt Red’s financial results and strategic initiatives illustrate a company that is not only capitalising on the lasting success of its flagship titles but also diversifying its revenue streams through remasters, expansions, cross‑platform collaborations, and multimedia licensing. The combination of strong sales, high profit margins, and an expanding ecosystem of related media positions the studio well for sustained growth throughout the remainder of 2026 and beyond.
