Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has just revealed the full list of exhibitors slated to appear at its 2026 edition, confirming the participation of heavyweight publishers and hardware manufacturers alongside a host of regional developers. Among the marquee names are Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be represented through their local partners rather than direct corporate booths.
It is noteworthy that Sony, which maintained a visible presence at many European and North‑American gaming conventions, opted not to install a dedicated stand at the previous month’s Gamescom event. In contrast, both Nintendo and Xbox chose to maintain physical footprints, underscoring the divergent strategies of the console giants in the Southeast Asian market. The roster also includes a diverse set of ancillary firms and indie studios such as 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo, and several others.
Their involvement highlights the show’s commitment to covering the entire ecosystem—from game creation tools and middleware to cutting‑edge peripherals and high‑performance computing hardware. A key feature of this year’s business area is its truly international character: exhibition pavilions will be assembled by representatives from 25 different countries and regions. Among the highlighted national showcases are Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, and the host nation, Thailand.
Each pavilion will provide a platform for local developers, publishers, and service providers to connect with potential partners, investors, and media from across the globe. Beyond the static exhibition space, the event will host a series of interactive pitch and reverse‑pitch contests, designed to give emerging studios a chance to present their concepts directly to established publishers and funding bodies.
Xsolla, a leading video‑game commerce and publishing solutions provider, will sponsor the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience,” a curated networking environment where developers, publishers, and venture capitalists can meet face‑to‑face, exchange ideas, and explore collaboration opportunities. The conference program is equally ambitious.
More than 70 speakers from over 20 countries will take the stage across four separate auditoriums, delivering talks that span game design theory, technical innovation, market trends, and cultural impact. Highlighting the speaker lineup is John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, who will deliver a keynote titled “Why We Still Make Games.” Romero will also be honored with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his seminal contributions to the industry. Additional confirmed speakers include Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio, Zhen Fang—Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division—Jane Lau, who leads production for Tencent, Emilio Coppola, Executive Director of the Godot Engine, and Yoan Fanise, Creative Director and Founder of DigixArt.
Their talks promise to cover a breadth of topics, from indie development pipelines and open‑source engine adoption to the business strategies of major platform holders. The 2026 Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show is being organized through a partnership between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and Online Station. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager of Asia‑Pacific for Koelnmesse, emphasized the event’s growing global focus: “This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality. We are bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, which is backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).” Show No Limit’s chief executive, Pongsuk Hiranprueck, added perspective on the market’s evolution: “Last year’s success, with over 200,000 attendees, is clear proof that Thailand is not merely a consumer market, but a key driving force of culture and the creative economy at the Asian level.” His remarks underline Thailand’s transition from a purely receptive audience to a vibrant creator and exporter of gaming content.
The venue for the 2026 edition will be the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, with the public exhibition running from October 29 to November 1. The business area, however, will be accessible exclusively to industry professionals and accredited media on October 29 and 30, allowing for focused B2B interactions before the doors open to the wider public. For context, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand Game Show in 2025 attracted 206,159 visitors representing 95 countries, while the business zone welcomed 5,590 professionals from 81 nations over four days.
Those figures set a high benchmark for growth, and the expanded pavilion lineup, enriched speaker roster, and enhanced networking programs are all aimed at surpassing last year’s milestones, cementing the event’s status as a premier hub for gaming innovation in Southeast Asia.
