Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has just released the full list of exhibitors slated to appear at its 2026 edition, confirming the participation of industry heavy‑weights such as Capcom, Bandai Namco and The Pokémon Company, alongside Nintendo and PlayStation which will be represented through their local partners. While Sony’s own stand was absent from the previous month’s Gamescom event—contrasting with the presence of both Nintendo and Xbox—its influence will still be felt through collaborative showcases. In addition to the marquee names, a diverse array of developers, hardware manufacturers and service providers have signed up for the show.

Among them are indie studios like 4Divinity, Elementa and Gryphline, as well as publishers such as Kuro Games. Technology partners Razer, AMD and Lenovo will also be on hand, offering hands‑on experiences with the latest gaming peripherals, graphics solutions and computing platforms. The exhibition’s business area is set to become a truly international hub, featuring pavilions from 25 different countries and regions. Visitors will be able to wander through dedicated spaces representing Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation Thailand, among others.

Each pavilion will showcase the unique gaming ecosystems of its home market, providing a rare opportunity for cross‑border networking and cultural exchange. Beyond the static displays, the event will host a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch competitions designed to connect creators with funding sources. Xsolla will sponsor the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience,” a curated environment where developers, publishers and investors can meet face‑to‑face, discuss project roadmaps, and explore partnership possibilities.

This initiative aims to streamline the often‑complex process of securing financing for new titles, especially for independent studios seeking their first breakout hit. The business zone’s conference program is equally ambitious, featuring more than 70 speakers drawn from over 20 countries. These thought leaders will take the stage across four separate auditoriums, delivering insights on topics ranging from game design theory to emerging monetisation models.

Highlighting the line‑up is Id Software co‑founder John Romero, who will headline a keynote titled “Why We Still Make Games.” Romero will also be honoured with this year’s lifetime achievement award, recognising his decades‑long contribution to the medium. Other confirmed speakers bring a wealth of expertise from various corners of the industry. Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio will discuss indie development strategies, while Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will share lessons on scaling live‑service platforms globally.

Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will offer a perspective on managing massive multiplayer ecosystems, and Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot engine, will speak about open‑source tooling and community‑driven innovation. Finally, Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will discuss narrative‑driven game creation and the challenges of marrying artistry with commercial viability. The 2026 edition is a collaborative effort between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station.

Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the event’s growing international focus: “This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality. We are bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).” Show No Limit’s CEO Pongsuk Hiranprueck added a note of pride about the region’s evolution: “Last year’s success, with over 200,000 attendees, clearly demonstrates that Thailand is not merely a consumer market but a driving force of culture and the creative economy across Asia.” The show will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, running from October 29 to November 1, 2026. The business area will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media representatives on October 29 and 30, allowing for focused B2B meetings, press briefings and partnership discussions before the public doors swing open. For context, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand Game Show attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, with the business zone hosting 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days.

Those numbers set a high bar for 2026, and the expanded exhibitor roster, enriched conference agenda, and heightened emphasis on international collaboration suggest the upcoming edition will surpass its predecessor in both scale and impact, cementing Bangkok’s status as a pivotal hub in the global gaming landscape.
