The upcoming Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has officially released its 2026 exhibitor roster, highlighting a blend of industry heavyweights and emerging talent. Among the confirmed participants are renowned developers and publishers such as Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be represented through their local partners rather than direct corporate booths.
Notably, Sony chose not to maintain a standalone presence at the previous month’s Gamescom event, a contrast to the visible stalls fielded by Nintendo and Xbox. In addition to the marquee names, the lineup features a diverse array of companies including 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo, and several others that span hardware, software, and services. The show’s business area is set to expand its geographic footprint, hosting pavilions from 25 different countries and regions.
Visitors can expect dedicated spaces for Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, and Thailand, among others, each showcasing local talent, market trends, and governmental support initiatives. Beyond static exhibition, the program incorporates a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch competitions designed to foster collaboration between developers, publishers, and investors.
Xsolla will sponsor the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience," a curated networking environment where industry stakeholders can meet face‑to‑face, discuss funding opportunities, and explore partnership possibilities. The business zone will also serve as a stage for over 70 speakers representing more than 20 countries. These thought leaders will present across four separate stages, covering topics ranging from game design philosophy to emerging technologies and market strategies. One of the headline speakers is John Romero, co‑founder of id Software, who will deliver a keynote titled "Why We Still Make Games." In recognition of his enduring influence on the medium, Romero will also receive this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
The speaker roster includes additional notable figures: Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart from AdHoc Studio will share insights on indie development; Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will discuss global community building; Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will speak on scaling large‑scale live services; Emilio Coppola, Executive Director of the Godot Engine, will cover open‑source development; and Yoan Fanise, Creative Director and founder of DigixArt, will explore narrative‑driven game creation. Organising the event are three partners: Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and Online Station. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the show’s growing international focus, stating, "This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality.
We are bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business area with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA)." Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, reflected on the event’s impact, noting that the previous edition attracted over 200,000 attendees and demonstrated that Thailand has evolved from a pure consumer market into a cultural and creative engine for the broader Asian gaming ecosystem. The 2026 edition will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, running from October 29 through November 1. The business area will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B meetings, press briefings, and partnership discussions. For context, the inaugural Gamescom x Thailand Game Show in 2025 drew 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, with the business zone accommodating 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days.
The growth in both visitor numbers and exhibitor diversity underscores the event’s rapid ascent as a pivotal hub for Southeast Asian and global gaming communities, offering a platform where creators, distributors, and investors converge to shape the future of interactive entertainment.
