Callisto Protocol Sales Projections Revised Downward by Analysts

Following the game's underwhelming performance, analysts have adjusted their sales forecasts downward for Krafton's Callisto Protocol. According to a report by K-Odyssey, citing the Yonhap News Agency, these revisions come a month after the game's release. Analyst firm Samsung Securities expressed doubts about reaching the initially anticipated 5 million copies in sales, stating that even achieving 2 million copies by the end of the year will be challenging given the current sales trend. Industry observers attribute the game's lackluster reception partly to its development priorities. K-Odyssey noted that Krafton invested heavily in the production of Callisto Protocol, which has raised concerns. Additionally, analysts are worried about the game's reviews on Metacritic. Despite these challenges, Krafton has announced plans to release new content for Callisto Protocol in 2023, including paid DLC story content scheduled for the summer.
