The upcoming Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has released its official list of exhibitors for the 2026 edition, confirming the participation of major industry players such as Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, alongside representatives of Nintendo and PlayStation through their local partners. While Sony chose not to operate its own booth at the previous month’s Gamescom event—unlike its rivals Nintendo and Xbox—its presence will still be felt through affiliated developers and publishers. In addition to the headline names, a diverse array of companies will be joining the exhibition floor. These include indie and mid‑size studios like 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, and Kuro Games, as well as technology and hardware providers such as Razer, AMD, and Lenovo.

The mix of developers, hardware manufacturers, and service platforms is designed to give attendees a comprehensive view of the current gaming ecosystem. The business area of the show is set to expand dramatically, featuring pavilions from 25 different countries and regions.

Among the national showcases will be dedicated spaces for Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, and the host nation Thailand. Each pavilion will highlight local talent, recent releases, and initiatives aimed at fostering cross‑border collaboration within the industry.

Beyond the exhibition booths, the programme will host a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch contests, providing a platform for emerging studios to present their concepts to potential investors and for established publishers to scout fresh ideas. Xsolla, a global video‑game commerce company, will sponsor the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience," a curated networking session that brings together developers, publishers, and venture capitalists for face‑to‑face discussions and deal‑making opportunities. The conference segment of the business area will feature more than 70 speakers representing over 20 countries, spread across four dedicated stages.

Highlights include a keynote address by John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, titled "Why We Still Make Games," during which Romero will also be honoured with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his pioneering contributions to the medium. Other confirmed speakers encompass a broad spectrum of expertise: Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart from AdHoc Studio will share insights on studio management; Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will discuss the future of user‑generated content; Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will outline the Chinese market’s evolving dynamics; Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot Engine, will speak on open‑source development tools; and Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will explore narrative design in indie titles. The event is a joint effort between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and Online Station. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the growing international focus: "This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality, bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with additional country pavilions, networking opportunities, and enhanced support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA)." Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, reflected on the previous edition’s success, noting that more than 200,000 visitors attended, which demonstrates that Thailand is not merely a consumer market but a pivotal cultural and creative engine within the Asian gaming landscape.

The 2026 Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1. The business area will be accessible to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, offering a concentrated window for B2B meetings, press briefings, and partnership negotiations. To provide context, the inaugural Gamescom x Thailand Game Show in 2025 attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, while the business area alone welcomed 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days.

These figures underscore the event’s rapid growth and its importance as a hub for both regional and global gaming stakeholders. Overall, the 2026 edition promises a richer, more internationally‑focused experience, with expanded exhibition space, a robust speaker lineup, and targeted networking initiatives designed to accelerate collaboration, investment, and innovation across the worldwide gaming community.
