The upcoming Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has unveiled the full roster of exhibitors slated to appear at the 2026 edition, confirming the participation of industry heavyweights such as Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, alongside representations of Nintendo and PlayStation through their local partners. While Sony chose not to operate its own pavilion at last month’s Gamescom event—unlike its rivals Nintendo and Xbox—its absence will be felt among the myriad of other participants. In addition to the marquee names, the show will feature a diverse mix of developers, hardware manufacturers, and technology providers.
Among them are 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo, and several other firms that span the spectrum from indie studios to global tech giants. This eclectic collection underscores the event’s ambition to serve as a meeting point for every segment of the gaming ecosystem. The business area, a dedicated space for B2B networking and showcase activities, is set to host booths from 25 different countries and regions.
Pavilions will be erected for Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, and the host nation Thailand, among others. Each national pavilion will highlight local developers, publishers, and service providers, offering visitors a curated glimpse into the gaming cultures and market opportunities of those territories.
Beyond the exhibition floor, Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show will run a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch contests designed to connect creators with potential investors and publishers. Xsolla, a leading video‑game commerce platform, will sponsor the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience," a program that brings together developers, publishers, and financiers for face‑to‑face meetings, mentorship sessions, and deal‑making opportunities.
This initiative aims to accelerate funding pipelines and foster cross‑border collaborations. The conference component of the business area will feature more than 70 speakers representing over 20 countries, spread across four distinct stages. Among the keynote speakers is John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, who will deliver a talk titled "Why We Still Make Games" and will be honored with this year’s lifetime achievement award.
Romero’s presence adds a historic touch, linking the early days of first‑person shooters to today’s expansive, multi‑platform landscape. Other confirmed speakers bring a wealth of expertise from different corners of the industry.
Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio will share insights on studio management and creative pipelines. Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will discuss the rapid growth of user‑generated content platforms and their impact on global gaming trends. Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will provide a perspective on scaling massive multiplayer experiences in Asian markets.
Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot Engine, will speak about open‑source development tools and community‑driven innovation. Finally, Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will explore narrative design and artistic direction in indie titles.
The event is a joint effort between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and Online Station, three organizations with a track record of delivering large‑scale entertainment and technology exhibitions. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager of Asia‑Pacific for Koelnmesse, emphasized the show’s growing international focus: "This year, we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality. We are bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business area with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA)." Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, reflected on the previous edition’s success, noting that more than 200,000 attendees demonstrated Thailand’s evolution from a pure consumer market to a cultural and creative engine within the Asian gaming scene.
This momentum fuels the organizers’ confidence that the 2026 edition will attract even broader participation from both local and international stakeholders. The venue for the 2026 Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show is the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, with the public exhibition running from October 29 to November 1. The business area, however, will be open exclusively to industry professionals and accredited media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B engagements, partnership talks, and press briefings.
When the inaugural Gamescom x Thailand Game Show launched, it drew 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, and the business zone alone welcomed 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days. Those figures set a high benchmark, and the expanded pavilion lineup, enriched speaker program, and intensified investment matchmaking activities are all designed to surpass that precedent, cementing the event’s reputation as a premier hub for gaming commerce and culture in Southeast Asia.
