Gearbox Acquires Captured Dimensions, Expanding 3D Capabilities

Gearbox Entertainment has revealed the acquisition of Captured Dimensions, a renowned 3D capture company. The acquired firm boasts an impressive portfolio, having collaborated with prominent entertainment entities such as Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, 2K Games, and EA. Its services encompass 3D printing, prop scanning, and cross-polarized texture photography. Following the acquisition, Jordan William will continue to serve as president of Captured Dimensions, now reporting to Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox. According to Sean Haran, Gearbox's chief business officer, "the acquisition integrates groundbreaking technology, paving the way for future projects and broadening the scope of services offered to key partners across multiple business units." This move marks another significant acquisition for Gearbox, which previously purchased Lost Boys Interactive, co-developer of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, in 2022.
