The upcoming Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has unveiled the full list of exhibitors set to appear at the 2026 edition, highlighting a mix of heavyweight developers, hardware manufacturers, and regional partners. Among the marquee names confirmed are Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be represented through their local collaborators rather than dedicated brand booths. Notably, Sony chose not to operate a standalone pavilion at the previous Gamescom event, a decision that set it apart from rivals Nintendo and Xbox, which both maintained a physical presence.

In addition to the headline titles, the show will host a diverse array of participants such as 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo, and several other studios and technology firms. This eclectic mix underscores the event’s ambition to serve as a meeting point for both content creators and the hardware ecosystem that powers modern gaming experiences.

The business area of the exhibition will be considerably expanded this year, featuring booths from twenty‑five different countries and regions. Attendees can expect dedicated pavilions representing Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, and the host nation Thailand, among others. These national showcases aim to spotlight local development talent, government support programs, and market opportunities, fostering cross‑border collaboration and investment. Beyond the exhibition floor, the schedule is packed with competitive pitching sessions.

Both forward‑looking pitch contests and reverse‑pitch formats will give indie developers a platform to present their concepts to publishers and investors, while established studios can seek fresh ideas from the community. Xsolla, a leading payment and distribution platform for games, is sponsoring the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience" series, which will arrange one‑on‑one meetings between developers, publishers, and potential financiers, facilitating tangible business deals.

The conference component will feature more than seventy speakers drawn from over twenty nations, spread across four distinct stages. Highlights include a keynote from John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, who will discuss his philosophy in a talk titled "Why We Still Make Games" and will be honored with the event’s lifetime‑achievement award.

Other confirmed speakers encompass a broad spectrum of industry expertise: Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio will share insights on studio management; Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will talk about scaling live‑service platforms; Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will discuss the Chinese market’s influence; Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot engine, will explore open‑source development; and Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will reflect on narrative‑driven design. The show is co‑organized by Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and Online Station, a partnership that blends global exhibition expertise with deep local knowledge.

Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager of Asia‑Pacific for Koelnmesse, emphasized the event’s growing international focus, stating that the 2026 edition will bring leading global gaming brands to the entertainment zone while enlarging the business area with additional country pavilions and networking opportunities. He also highlighted new support structures for independent creators, including an expanded indie area and a dedicated Thailand Pavilion backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA). Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, reflected on the success of the previous year, noting that more than 200,000 visitors attended, which demonstrates that Thailand has evolved from a purely consumer market into a cultural and creative engine for the region.

This momentum is expected to continue as the 2026 event will be hosted at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1. The business zone will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media representatives on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B interactions, press briefings, and partnership negotiations.

The public exhibition will follow, allowing gamers and fans to experience the latest titles, hardware demos, and interactive installations. When the inaugural Gamescom x Thailand Game Show launched, it attracted over 206,000 visitors from 95 countries, with the business area drawing 5,590 professionals from 81 nations over four days.

Those figures set a high benchmark, and organizers are confident that the expanded pavilion roster, enriched speaker lineup, and intensified networking programs will surpass previous attendance and cement the event’s status as a premier hub for the Asian gaming ecosystem.
