Microsoft Explores Introduction of Ad-Supported Xbox Game Pass Tier
A recent survey conducted by Microsoft hints at the potential introduction of an ad-supported subscription tier for Xbox Game Pass. According to a report by Windows Central, this proposed tier would grant users access to new first-party Xbox titles six months after their initial release, as well as EA Access titles and multiplayer functionality, all for a monthly fee of $3. This ad-supported model would also include Xbox's exclusive games lineup. This development comes after Microsoft's Game Pass subscription service reportedly fell short of its growth targets, achieving a 28% increase by the end of the fiscal year, rather than the projected 73% growth rate.
