Private Division Introduces New Developer Fund Initiative
Private Division, a Take-Two publishing label, has established the Private Division Development Fund, a new initiative designed to empower smaller game development studios through mentorship and financial support. This fund allows independent developers to self-publish their titles while still receiving assistance from Private Division. The company has already pledged its support to several studios, including Die Gute Fabrik, Radical Forge, and Lost Native. According to Blake Rochkind, head of business development at Private Division, the fund was created in response to the diverse needs of smaller development teams. "When we launched Private Division five years ago, we encountered numerous innovative game concepts from smaller teams that didn't align with our traditional publishing model," Rochkind explained. "We recognized the need for a more flexible approach, one that would enable us to support exceptional game ideas regardless of project size. The Private Division Development Fund allows us to identify and nurture some of the most promising creative talents in our industry." The Private Division Development Fund is set to be an ongoing initiative, providing continuous support to emerging studios.
