Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has released the full list of exhibitors slated for its 2026 edition, confirming the participation of heavyweight developers and publishers such as Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, alongside Nintendo and PlayStation representation through local partners. While Sony’s own brand booth was absent from the previous month’s Gamescom event, its competitors Nintendo and Xbox made visible appearances, underscoring the shifting dynamics of console representation in the region.
Beyond the headline names, the showcase will also feature a diverse array of companies ranging from indie studios to hardware manufacturers. Attendees can expect to see booths from 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, as well as technology partners like Razer, AMD and Lenovo. This eclectic mix reflects the event’s commitment to presenting both established industry giants and emerging creators, offering a comprehensive snapshot of the current gaming ecosystem. The business area, a dedicated space for B2B interaction, will host pavilions from 25 different countries and regions.
Among the highlighted national displays are Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, and the host nation Thailand. Each pavilion will provide a platform for local developers, publishers, and service providers to showcase their latest projects, forge partnerships, and explore export opportunities. The expanded geographic representation signals Gamescom Asia × Thailand’s ambition to become a truly international hub for the gaming sector in Southeast Asia. Programmatically, the event will incorporate both pitch and reverse‑pitch competitions, designed to connect innovative developers with potential investors and publishers.
Xsolla, a leading video‑game commerce platform, will sponsor the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience,” a curated networking environment where creators, financiers, and industry veterans can meet face‑to‑face, discuss funding rounds, and negotiate publishing deals. The conference schedule is packed with more than 70 speakers hailing from over 20 countries, spread across four distinct stages. Among the marquee speakers is John Romero, co‑founder of id Software, who will deliver a keynote entitled “Why We Still Make Games.” Romero will also be honored with the event’s lifetime achievement award, recognizing his enduring influence on game design and culture.
Additional confirmed speakers bring a breadth of expertise from various corners of the industry. Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio will share insights on indie development and community building. Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will discuss the growth of user‑generated content platforms.
Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will provide a perspective on large‑scale publishing and market entry strategies. Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot engine, will talk about open‑source tooling and its impact on democratizing game creation. Finally, Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will explore narrative‑driven design and the role of artistic vision in indie success.
The 2026 edition is organized jointly by Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and Online Station. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the event’s heightened focus on international collaboration: “This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality, bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).” Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, reflected on the previous year’s success, noting that the turnout of over 200,000 visitors demonstrated Thailand’s evolution from a mere consumer market to a pivotal cultural and creative‑economy driver within Asia.
The venue for the 2026 gathering is the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, with the public exhibition running from October 29 to November 1. The business area will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for deal‑making and knowledge exchange. For context, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand Game Show in 2025 attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, while the business zone welcomed 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days.
Those figures illustrate the rapid growth and rising significance of the event as a cornerstone of the regional gaming calendar, setting the stage for an even larger and more influential 2026 edition.
