Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has just unveiled the full roster of exhibitors slated to appear at its 2026 edition, confirming the participation of heavyweight developers and publishers such as Capcom, Bandai Namco and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be present through their local partners. Notably, Sony will not operate a dedicated stand this year—a departure from its usual presence at the European Gamescom event, whereas both Nintendo and Xbox will still be represented on the show floor.
In addition to the marquee names, a diverse array of smaller studios and technology providers have signed up, including 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo and several others that bring a mix of indie titles, hardware innovations, and development tools to the exhibition space. This eclectic mix underscores the event’s ambition to serve both mainstream audiences and niche creators. The business area of the show will expand its geographic reach, featuring pavilions from twenty‑five different countries and regions. Among the highlighted national showcases are Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation Thailand.
Each pavilion will act as a mini‑hub where local developers can display home‑grown talent, meet potential partners, and attract foreign investment. The presence of such a wide range of national booths reflects the growing interconnectedness of the global gaming ecosystem and the desire of Asian markets to position themselves as production powerhouses rather than merely consumption hubs. Beyond the exhibition floor, the programme includes a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch contests designed to foster collaboration between creators and financiers.
Xsolla will sponsor the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience,” a curated networking environment where game developers, publishers and venture capitalists can sit down for face‑to‑face discussions, share roadmaps, and explore co‑funding opportunities. These sessions are expected to generate a substantial amount of deal flow, especially given the presence of over seventy speakers drawn from more than twenty countries across four dedicated stages. One of the headline speakers is John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, who will deliver a keynote titled “Why We Still Make Games.” Romero will also be honoured with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his seminal contributions to the industry from pioneering first‑person shooters to modern indie experiments. Complementing Romero’s talk, a strong line‑up of industry leaders will share insights: Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart from AdHoc Studio will discuss publishing strategies; Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will speak on the future of user‑generated content; Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will outline the company’s global expansion plans; Emilio Coppola, Executive Director of the Godot Engine, will explore open‑source development trends; and Yoan Fanise, Creative Director and founder of DigixArt, will reflect on narrative‑driven game design.
The event is a collaborative effort between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager of Asia‑Pacific for Koelnmesse, emphasized the show’s heightened focus on internationalism this year, stating that the organizers are bringing leading global gaming brands into the entertainment area while simultaneously enlarging the business zone with additional country pavilions, expanded networking slots, and stronger support for indie developers. This support will be visible through a dedicated indie area and a Thailand Pavilion, which is backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA). Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, highlighted the significance of the previous edition’s attendance figures—over 200,000 visitors—as evidence that Thailand has evolved from a purely consumer market into a cultural and creative engine for the broader Asian region.
He noted that the country’s vibrant local development scene, coupled with government incentives, positions it as a strategic hub for both regional and global game production. The 2026 Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1. The business area will be accessible to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B meetings, press briefings and technical workshops. The public exhibition will open to the wider audience on the remaining days, allowing fans to experience demos, esports tournaments and interactive installations.
For context, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand edition attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, while the business zone hosted 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over a four‑day period. Those numbers illustrate the rapid growth and international appeal of the event, and organizers expect the 2026 edition to surpass those benchmarks, further cementing Bangkok’s status as a premier destination on the global gaming calendar.
