Blaze Entertainment Falls Victim to Robbery, With Evercade Units Stolen

A recent robbery has affected Blaze Entertainment, the company behind the Evercade console, with a significant quantity of stock stolen on December 6. According to a statement from the firm, a lorry carrying limited edition Evercade EXP units was the subject of a suspected targeted attack. Although the full extent of the incident is unclear, reports suggest that over £500,000 worth of hardware was taken. The stolen units were destined for a Funstock warehouse in the UK, the retailer responsible for selling the limited edition console. Fortunately, EU stock arrived safely at Funstock's European warehouse. No one was injured during the incident, but it has impacted the stock scheduled for distribution to customers in the UK, USA, and worldwide. Andrew Byatt, CEO of Blaze Entertainment, expressed frustration and disappointment, stating that the timing could not be worse, given the imminent release of the products. The company has shared all relevant information with the UK Police and is awaiting updates on their investigation. Byatt remains hopeful that the stolen stock will be recovered and has initiated production of replacement units to be dispatched to customers as soon as possible.
