Embracer Group Granted Nasdaq Stockholm Listing Approval
Embracer Group has received approval for listing on Nasdaq Stockholm, the premier market for Nordic companies. The first trading day is set for December 22. Previously listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market, Embracer's last day on this platform will be December 21. Since its initial listing in November 2016 under the name THQ Nordic AB, the company has undergone significant growth. The initial listing in 2016 was intended to facilitate growth financing, enable share usage in acquisitions, and enhance the company's profile. Over 90 acquisitions have been completed since then. The listing of Embracer's class B shares on Nasdaq Stockholm marks a significant milestone in the company's development and has been a long-held goal for the board and management. This listing is expected to increase the attractiveness of class B shares for future acquisitions and provide a quality assurance for the company. It is also anticipated to better reflect the company's maturity in the capital market and allow more institutional investors to invest in class B shares. Recently, Embracer Group released its financial results for the second quarter of the financial year 2022/2023, which showed substantial sales growth. Additionally, the company announced the closure of the former Square Enix Montreal studio and QA team, which was acquired and rebranded as Onoma a few months prior.
