The upcoming Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has revealed the full roster of exhibitors slated to appear at the 2026 edition, showcasing a blend of industry heavyweights and emerging studios. Among the headline names are Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be represented through their local partners rather than direct corporate stalls. It is noteworthy that Sony, which had a presence at the previous Gamescom in Cologne, will not operate its own booth at this Asian‑focused event, a contrast to the active participation of Nintendo and Xbox.

In addition to the marquee brands, the show will welcome a diverse set of participants such as 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo and several others, underscoring the event’s commitment to covering both hardware and software facets of the gaming ecosystem. The business area this year expands its geographic reach, featuring exhibition spaces from 25 different countries and regions.

Dedicated pavilions will highlight contributions from Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation, Thailand. This broadened international representation is intended to foster cross‑border collaboration, allowing developers, publishers, and technology providers to showcase regional trends and discover new partnership opportunities.

Beyond static displays, the programme includes a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch competitions designed to connect creators with potential financiers and distributors. Xsolla, a global video‑game commerce platform, will sponsor the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience" segment, offering a curated environment where developers, publishers and investors can engage in face‑to‑face dialogue, negotiate deals, and explore co‑development possibilities.

The conference component of the business area will feature more than 70 speakers drawn from over 20 countries, spread across four distinct stages. Among the most anticipated talks is a keynote by John Romero, co‑founder of id Software, titled "Why We Still Make Games." Romero will also be honoured with this year’s lifetime achievement award, recognizing his enduring influence on interactive entertainment. Other confirmed speakers bring a wealth of expertise from different corners of the industry.

Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio will share insights on indie development and publishing strategies. Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international operations, will discuss the rapid growth of user‑generated content platforms. Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will provide a perspective on the Chinese market and its global outreach.

Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot engine, will talk about open‑source development tools, while Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will explore narrative‑driven game design. The event is a joint effort between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station.

Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the increased focus on internationality: "This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality, bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business area with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA)." Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, reflected on the previous edition’s success: "Last year’s attendance of over 200,000 visitors clearly demonstrates that Thailand is not merely a consumer market but a pivotal driver of culture and the creative economy across Asia." The 2026 Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1. The business area will be accessible to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B interactions, press briefings and partnership meetings.

To put the event in context, the inaugural Gamescom x Thailand Game Show in 2025 attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, while the business area hosted 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days. Building on that momentum, the 2026 edition aims to deepen regional ties, showcase cutting‑edge technology, and cement Thailand’s position as a hub for both game consumption and creation within the broader Asian market.
