Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has just unveiled the full list of exhibitors slated to appear at its 2026 edition, confirming that heavyweight publishers and hardware manufacturers will once again converge on Bangkok. Among the most prominent names are Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be represented through their local partners rather than a dedicated on‑site presence.
Notably, Sony chose not to operate a stand at the previous month’s Gamescom event, a decision that set it apart from rivals Nintendo and Xbox, which both maintained visible booths. The roster also includes a diverse mix of emerging studios and technology providers: 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo and several others have confirmed participation. This blend of established giants and up‑and‑coming creators underscores the show’s ambition to cater to both mainstream audiences and niche segments of the gaming ecosystem. A major highlight of the upcoming show is the expansion of the business area, which will now host pavilions from 25 different countries and regions.
Exhibitors from Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation Thailand will each have dedicated spaces, allowing visitors to explore regional trends, local development talent and market‑specific opportunities. The increased number of national pavilions reflects the organizers’ drive to position Gamescom Asia × Thailand as a truly international hub for industry networking.
Beyond the exhibition floor, the event’s programme is packed with competitive pitching sessions. Both traditional pitch contests and reverse‑pitch formats will give developers the chance to present their projects to potential investors, while seasoned publishers can showcase their needs to indie creators. Xsolla is stepping in as a sponsor for the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience,” a curated environment where developers, publishers and financiers can meet face‑to‑face, exchange ideas and forge partnerships that could shape the next wave of game releases.
The business area will also feature a robust conference schedule, with more than 70 speakers drawn from over 20 countries taking the stage across four separate auditoriums. Among the headline presenters is John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, who will deliver a keynote titled “Why We Still Make Games.” Romero will also be honoured with the event’s lifetime‑achievement award, recognizing his enduring influence on the medium. Additional confirmed speakers span a wide spectrum of the industry: Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart from AdHoc Studio will discuss studio management and creative pipelines; Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will share insights on community‑driven platforms; Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will outline the company’s global strategy; Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot engine, will talk about open‑source development tools; and Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will explore narrative design in indie titles. Gamescom Asia × Thailand 2026 is being co‑organized by Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station.
Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the event’s heightened focus on international collaboration: “This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality. We are bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, which is backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).” Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, added perspective on the market’s growth: “Last year’s success, with over 200,000 attendees, clearly demonstrates that Thailand is not merely a consumer market but a key driver of culture and the creative economy across Asia.” The 2026 edition will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1. The business area will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media representatives on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B meetings, press briefings and partnership discussions. For context, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand Game Show in 2025 attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, while the business zone welcomed 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days.
Those figures set a high benchmark for 2026, and the expanded exhibitor list, additional national pavilions and enriched conference agenda suggest the organizers aim to surpass those numbers, cementing the event’s status as a premier gathering for the Asian and global gaming communities.
