Rebel Wolves Receives Investment from NetEase
Rebel Wolves has announced that it has successfully secured funding from NetEase Games, marking a significant milestone for the studio. Co-founded by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, a former executive at CD Projekt, in February, the studio aims to recreate the immersive experience of a traditional pen and paper RPG. According to Tomaszkiewicz, the goal is to create a game where players' choices have limitless possibilities, influencing the game world and making every decision count. Although the exact amount of NetEase's investment remains undisclosed, the deal includes the acquisition of a minority stake in the game developer. Rebel Wolves has assured that it will retain full creative control and ownership of its intellectual property, continuing to operate as an independent entity. With the new funding, the studio is now well-equipped to focus on developing a world-class, narrative-driven, dark fantasy RPG. As stated by Tomaszkiewicz, "The investment from NetEase provides the necessary resources to drive our project forward at full speed, allowing us to concentrate on the development process."
