Ubisoft and Riot Collaborate on AI-Powered In-Game Safety
Ubisoft and Riot Games have introduced the Zero Harm in Comms research initiative, focusing on developing AI technology to safeguard players from toxic in-game interactions. The project aims to create a comprehensive database encompassing diverse player types and in-game scenarios. By leveraging the data collected, the AI system is expected to become increasingly sophisticated and context-aware. The companies plan to expand this project into a broader industry collaboration, with the goal of sharing their research findings with the gaming community next year. According to Ubisoft executive director Yves Jacquier, this partnership with Riot Games represents a significant step towards mitigating in-game toxicity and fostering healthier online environments.
