Noodle Cat Secures $4.1 Million in Funding for Innovative Game Development Studio
Noodle Cat Games has successfully raised $4.1 million in seed funding to establish a game development studio centered around a flexible and iterative development approach, emphasizing trust, creativity, and empathy. The studio was co-founded by former Epic Games veterans, including David Hunt, Michael Noland, and Ed Zobrist, who now serve as CEO, CTO, and business advisor, respectively. With a team comprising experienced developers from Epic, EA, Bioware, Popcap, and Flying Lab Software, Noodle Cat prioritizes developer well-being by offering four-day workweeks, flexible hours, and comprehensive healthcare coverage. According to CEO David Hunt, the goal is to break away from the industry's demanding culture, which often leads to burnout and personal sacrifices. The funding round was led by Makers Fund, with additional support from 1Up Ventures and Epyllion.
