Doom Eternal Composer Accuses Executive Producer of Dishonesty Over Soundtrack Controversy

Mick Gordon, the composer behind Doom Eternal, has come forward with allegations that the game's executive producer, Marty Stratton, was dishonest about the problems surrounding the official soundtrack. In a recent blog post, Gordon disputed Stratton's claims that he was responsible for the poorly received soundtrack, which was included in the collector's edition of the game. Stratton had initially stated that the project's subpar musical quality was due to difficulties with the composer, but Gordon has now provided evidence to refute these claims. According to Gordon, he was not given sufficient time to work on the project and was only contracted 48 hours before the game's release. Furthermore, Gordon has alleged that Stratton's lawyers offered him a six-figure settlement in exchange for taking the blame for the soundtrack issues and agreeing not to speak about the situation or disparage Stratton or Zenimax. However, Gordon chose to publish his side of the story, citing the importance of truth and honesty. Additionally, Gordon has stated that he is still awaiting payment for half of the music he composed for Doom Eternal and has faced prolonged harassment and death threats following Stratton's initial statement.
