Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has unveiled the full list of exhibitors slated to appear at the 2026 edition of the festival, confirming the participation of heavyweight developers and publishers such as Capcom, Bandai Namco and The Pokémon Company, alongside representations of Nintendo and PlayStation through their local partners. While Sony chose not to operate a dedicated stand at last month’s Gamescom event—unlike its rivals Nintendo and Xbox—its absence does not diminish the overall breadth of the showcase. In addition to the marquee names, a diverse array of smaller studios and technology firms will be present.
Among them are indie developers 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline and Kuro Games, as well as hardware and peripheral manufacturers Razer, AMD and Lenovo. This mixture of big‑budget creators and niche innovators underscores the event’s ambition to serve both mainstream audiences and the growing indie sector. The exhibition’s business area will be a truly international hub, featuring pavilions from twenty‑five different countries and regions.
Visitors can expect dedicated spaces for Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation Thailand, each highlighting local talent, market trends and opportunities for cross‑border collaboration. The presence of these national pavilions reflects Gamescom Asia × Thailand’s commitment to fostering a global dialogue within the gaming ecosystem. Beyond static displays, the programme includes a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch contests designed to connect developers with publishers, investors and service providers. Xsolla will sponsor the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience,” a curated networking environment where creators can present their projects face‑to‑face with potential backers, negotiate deals and gain valuable feedback.
Such initiatives aim to accelerate funding cycles and spotlight promising titles that might otherwise remain under the radar. The business zone will also host a robust speaker schedule, with more than seventy presenters representing over twenty nations across four separate stages. Highlights include a keynote from John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, titled “Why We Still Make Games,” during which the veteran will receive the event’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
Romero’s talk is expected to blend personal anecdotes with reflections on the evolving nature of game design, technology and community. Other confirmed speakers bring a wide spectrum of expertise: Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio will discuss production pipelines; Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will share insights on user‑generated content and live‑service models; Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will outline strategies for scaling games in the Asian market; Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot engine, will speak about open‑source development tools; and Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will explore narrative‑driven design. Together, these sessions aim to equip attendees with actionable knowledge spanning technical, creative and business domains.
Organised jointly by Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station, the 2026 Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show reflects a collaborative effort to position Thailand as a regional gaming hub. "This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality," explained Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager of Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse. He added that the event will bring leading global brands into the entertainment area while expanding the business sector with additional country pavilions, enhanced networking opportunities and amplified support for independent developers through the Indie Area and the Thailand Pavilion, which is backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).
Show No Limit’s chief executive, Pongsuk Hiranprueck, highlighted the significance of the previous edition’s turnout: "Last year’s success, with over 200,000 attendees, is clear proof that Thailand is not merely a consumer market, but a key driving force of culture and the creative economy at the Asian level." This sentiment underscores the strategic importance of the venue and its potential to attract further investment and talent. The 2026 edition will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1. The business area will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B interactions, press briefings and partnership discussions. For context, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand Game Show in 2025 drew 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, with the business area welcoming 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days.
Those figures illustrate the rapid growth and global appeal of the event, setting a high bar for the upcoming edition. Overall, the 2026 Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show promises a vibrant mix of high‑profile exhibitors, cutting‑edge technology partners, competitive pitching sessions, and a packed speaker lineup. By combining a strong international presence with targeted support for indie creators and regional developers, the festival aims to reinforce Thailand’s position as a pivotal node in the worldwide gaming landscape, while offering attendees unparalleled opportunities to discover new titles, forge partnerships and stay ahead of industry trends.
