Freedom Games Secures $10 Million in Funding
Freedom Games has successfully raised $10 million in funding, which will be used to drive recruitment efforts and enhance its developer platform, wiki.gg. The funding round is being spearheaded by Play Ventures, with additional support from Nashville Capital Network and GFR Fund. According to Freedom Games CEO and co-founder Donovan Duncan, "This partnership is a significant milestone for us, and we're excited to collaborate with our investors. The funds will enable us to publish more high-quality indie titles, expand our platform for creators, and maintain our commitment to supporting indie developers by investing in our suite of tools and services." Freedom Games was officially established in August 2020 and released its debut title, Dreamscaper by Afterburner Studios, shortly after. The company's catalog has since grown to include nearly 40 games, all of which can be found on its official website.
