PSVR 2 Release Set for February 22, Priced at $550

Sony has confirmed that its next-generation PlayStation VR 2 headset will hit the market on February 22, 2023. The recommended retail price for the device has been set at $549.99 in the US, €599.99 in Europe, and £529.99 in the UK. This price includes the PSVR 2 headset itself, a pair of Sense controllers, and a set of headphones. A separate charging station for the controllers will be available for $49.99 in the US, €49.99 in Europe, and £39.99 in the UK, with a simultaneous launch date. Additionally, a bundle that pairs the PSVR 2 with the upcoming game Horizon Call of the Mountain from Guerilla Games will be offered for $599.99 in the US, €649.99 in Europe, and £569.99 in the UK. In a recent blog post, Isabelle Tomatis, VP for brand, hardware, and peripherals, referred to this launch as the 'initial launch phase.' She noted that pre-orders will initially be limited to players in the US, UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg, with these pre-orders available exclusively through the PlayStation online store starting November 15. Tomatis also stated that in other markets, the PSVR 2 will be sold through participating retailers, with pre-orders beginning on the same date.
