NetEase Introduces GPTrack50, Its Latest Game Development Studio

NetEase Games has officially launched GPTrack50, its newest game development studio, with a focus on creating and distributing Japanese gaming entertainment globally. The studio will be headed by industry veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi, who brings 27 years of experience from Capcom, where he produced notable franchises like Sengoku Basara, Devil May Cry, and Resident Evil. Kobayashi expressed his gratitude towards NetEase for their support and understanding, stating that he aims to build a strong team dedicated to creating high-quality, original content that caters to a worldwide audience. This move is part of NetEase's expansion efforts in 2022, following the establishment of its first US studio, Jackalope Games, in May, and another US studio, Jar of Sparks, in July. Earlier in January, the company also unveiled a new studio led by Toshihiro Nagoshi, a veteran Yakuza producer and executive director.
