ForeVR Secures $10 Million in Funding to Pioneer VR Gaming

ForeVR Games has successfully raised $10 million in its Series A funding round, led by Lobby Capital and accompanied by investments from existing partners, including Bessemer Venture Partners and Galaxy Interactive. Established in 2020 by Zynga veterans Marcus Segal and Mike Pagano Doom, the company plans to utilize this funding to develop engaging, family-friendly VR games, with the ambitious goal of creating the virtual reality equivalent of the iconic Wii Sports. To date, ForeVR Games has launched VR adaptations of popular games such as darts, cornhole, and bowling, catering to a broad audience. In the previous year, the studio secured $8.5 million in funding from notable investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Galaxy Interactive, All Star Capital, Mark Pincus, and Emmett Shear. Buddy Arnheim, General Partner at Lobby Capital, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating: "The ForeVR Games team is at the forefront of expanding VR's global appeal by crafting games that are both accessible and enjoyable for the masses. We are excited to collaborate with this exceptional team as they strive to establish a prominent position in the VR landscape, capitalizing on the growing interest in casual gaming, much like Wii Sports revolutionized the industry for Nintendo."
