Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has just unveiled the full list of exhibitors slated to appear at its 2026 edition, confirming the participation of industry heavy‑weights such as Capcom, Bandai Namco and The Pokémon Company, alongside Nintendo and PlayStation representations handled by local partners. While Sony chose not to operate its own stand at last month’s Gamescom, its competitors Nintendo and Xbox maintained a visible presence, underscoring the shifting dynamics of console representation in the region. Beyond the marquee names, the show will also host a diverse array of developers, hardware manufacturers and service providers. Among them are 4Divinity, known for its narrative‑driven indie titles; Elementa, a studio focused on immersive VR experiences; Gryphline, creators of mobile strategy games; Kuro Games, an up‑and‑coming publisher from Southeast Asia; as well as technology giants Razer, AMD and Lenovo, all of which will showcase the latest peripherals, GPUs and computing solutions tailored for gamers and creators alike.

The business area of the exhibition is set to become a truly international hub, featuring pavilions from 25 different countries and regions. Visitors can expect dedicated spaces for Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation Thailand, each highlighting local development talent, export opportunities and government support programs. These national pavilions aim to foster cross‑border collaborations, allowing developers from smaller markets to meet potential publishers, investors and platform partners under one roof.

In addition to the exhibition floor, Gamescom Asia × Thailand will run a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch contests designed to match innovative game concepts with funding and publishing resources. Xsolla, a leading payment and distribution platform, will sponsor the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience" segment, creating a curated environment where developers, publishers and venture capitalists can network face‑to‑face, exchange ideas and negotiate deals.

The conference program will feature more than 70 speakers drawn from over 20 countries, spread across four main stages. Among the headline speakers is John Romero, co‑founder of id Software, who will deliver a keynote titled "Why We Still Make Games" and receive the event’s lifetime achievement award. Romero’s talk is expected to delve into the evolution of game design, the enduring appeal of interactive entertainment, and the personal motivations that keep veteran creators in the industry. Other confirmed presenters include Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio, who will discuss indie publishing strategies; Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, who will share insights on user‑generated content ecosystems; Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, who will outline the Chinese market’s influence on global trends; Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot engine, who will talk about open‑source development tools; and Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, who will explore narrative‑driven game design.

The 2026 edition is being co‑organized by Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the event’s growing international focus, stating, "This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality. We are bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA)." Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, reflected on the previous year’s success, noting that the over 200,000 attendees demonstrated Thailand’s transition from a pure consumer market to a cultural and creative engine within Asia’s gaming landscape. He added that the upcoming show will build on that momentum by offering more platforms for creators to showcase their work and for investors to discover fresh talent.

The venue for the 2026 event is the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, with the public exhibition running from October 29 to November 1. The business area will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B meetings, press briefings and partnership negotiations. To put the growth in perspective, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand Game Show attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, and its business zone hosted 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days. The 2026 edition aims to surpass those figures, reinforcing Bangkok’s status as a regional hub for gaming innovation, networking and cultural exchange.
