Rocksteady Co-Founders Set to Depart Studio

Rocksteady has made an announcement regarding the departure of its co-founders, Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker, who will be leaving the studio at the end of the year. According to WB Games president David Haddad, the duo will be starting a new adventure in the gaming industry. Following their exit, Nathan Burlow, a founding member and director of production, will take over as studio director, while Darius Sadeghian will assume the role of studio production director. Hill and Walker founded Rocksteady in 2004 and have been instrumental in the development of the Batman: Arkham series and the upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game. In a joint statement, the pair expressed their emotional decision to leave the studio, stating that it has been their life and soul since its inception. They also expressed confidence in the team's ability to handle the upcoming Suicide Squad game and their decision to start a new venture. Burlow, who has worked with the duo since the studio's founding, thanked them for creating one of the best game development studios in the industry and wished them well in their future endeavors. The news comes after past allegations of misconduct at Rocksteady, including a 2018 report detailing poor treatment of women and minorities, as well as a recent claim by a former scriptwriter that the studio offered to pay her to resolve complaints but refused to apologize for any wrongdoing.
