Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has unveiled the full list of exhibitors slated to appear at its 2026 edition, confirming the participation of heavyweight publishers such as Capcom, Bandai Namco and The Pokémon Company, alongside representation from Nintendo and PlayStation through their local partners. While Sony’s own stand was absent from last month’s Gamescom in Cologne, its rivals Nintendo and Xbox maintained a physical presence, underscoring the shifting dynamics of console manufacturers at large-scale trade fairs. In addition to the marquee names, the Asian‑Thai showcase will host a diverse array of companies ranging from indie developers to hardware manufacturers. Among them are 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo and several other studios and technology firms eager to tap into the region’s rapidly expanding gaming ecosystem.
This eclectic mix reflects the event’s ambition to serve both mainstream audiences and niche creators, providing a platform where cutting‑edge peripherals sit beside emerging indie titles. The business area, the heart of the convention for industry professionals, will feature pavilions from 25 different countries and regions.
Notable national showcases include Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation Thailand. Each pavilion will act as a mini‑expo within the larger event, allowing visitors to explore country‑specific trends, government incentives and local talent pools. The presence of such a wide geographic spread highlights Gamescom Asia × Thailand’s commitment to fostering cross‑border collaboration and exposing developers to new markets.
Beyond the exhibition halls, the programme will incorporate a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch competitions designed to connect creators with investors, publishers and service providers. Xsolla, a leading game commerce platform, will sponsor the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience,” a curated networking environment where developers can present their projects directly to potential backers and receive feedback from seasoned industry veterans. These sessions aim to accelerate funding cycles and spark partnerships that might otherwise take months to materialise. The speaking schedule is equally robust, featuring more than 70 speakers from over 20 countries spread across four dedicated stages.
A highlight of the conference will be a keynote delivered by John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, titled “Why We Still Make Games.” Romero will also be honoured with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his decades‑long influence on the medium. Other confirmed presenters include Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio, Zhen Fang – Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, Jane Lau, who leads production at Tencent, Emilio Coppola, Executive Director of the Godot Engine, and Yoan Fanise, Creative Director and founder of DigixArt. The event is a joint effort between Koelnmesse, the German exhibition giant, Show No Limit, a Thai production house, and Online Station, a regional digital‑media agency.
Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the growing international focus: “This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality, bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).” Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, added perspective on the market’s significance: “Last year’s success, with over 200,000 attendees, proves that Thailand is not merely a consumer market but a key driver of culture and the creative economy across Asia.” This sentiment underscores the strategic importance of Thailand as both a testing ground for new titles and a source of home‑grown talent. The 2026 edition will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from 29 October to 1 November. The business area will be open exclusively to industry professionals and accredited media on 29 and 30 October, offering a focused environment for B2B meetings, press briefings and partnership negotiations.
For context, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand Game Show in 2025 attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, with the business zone hosting 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days. Those figures demonstrate the rapid growth of the event and its capacity to draw a truly global audience.
Organisers expect the 2026 edition to surpass those numbers, leveraging the expanded exhibitor roster, additional national pavilions and an enriched conference programme to cement the show’s reputation as the premier gathering for Southeast Asian and global gaming stakeholders. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant mix of product demos, hands‑on play sessions, developer workshops, esports exhibitions and cultural showcases that reflect Thailand’s unique heritage. Whether you are a seasoned publisher scouting the next breakout hit, an indie studio seeking exposure, a hardware partner looking to demo the latest peripherals, or a journalist covering industry trends, Gamescom Asia × Thailand 2026 promises a comprehensive, immersive experience that bridges creativity, commerce and community.
