Magic Games Secures $5 Million in Funding

Magic Games, a Turkish mobile game studio, has successfully raised $5 million in its initial funding round, led by Makers Fund and joined by Hummingbird Ventures' managing partner, Firat Ileri. Founded by former Peak Games management team members, Çağrı Öztürk, Rüya Çelikcan, and Mert Kasar, who have a proven track record with games like Toy Blast and Toon Blast, the studio plans to utilize the funds to expand its team, establish a European presence, and drive the development of its inaugural title, a yet-to-be-announced match-3 game. According to Öztürk, "Our approach is centered around the idea that social interactions play a vital role in enhancing the gaming experience. As such, social features are a core aspect of our development process as we strive to create engaging multiplayer games that cater to a wide range of players."
