FIFA 23 Attracts 10.3 Million Players in Its Debut Week
According to EA, FIFA 23 achieved unprecedented numbers in its first week, with over 10.3 million users. In contrast, FIFA 22 drew in more than 9.1 million players within the initial 10 days of its launch. Recently, it was reported that the PlayStation 5 accounted for the majority of FIFA 23's launch sales in the UK, with 41% of all physical copies sold being attributed to the console. Nick Wlodyka, SVP and GM of EA Sports FC, stated in a press release, "The fan response has been phenomenal, and we are delighted to see our community engaging with their favorite teams and players in record numbers across FIFA 23." He added, "With the upcoming Men's and Women's World Cups and updates to women's club football content, we are committed to delivering the most authentic experience for our players." Notably, FIFA 23 is the final EA football title to bear the FIFA name, following the end of the nearly 30-year partnership between the two entities. The series will henceforth be known as EA Sports FC.
