Cloud Gaming Market Projected to Reach $2.4 Billion in 2022

According to a recent report by Newzoo, the cloud gaming industry is poised to generate $2.4 billion in revenue by the end of 2022, representing a significant 74% year-over-year growth. In terms of regional spending, the Asia-Pacific region leads the way, accounting for 36.5% of total revenue, followed by Europe at 30%, and North America at 27%. The report also forecasts that 31.7 million consumers will be paying for cloud gaming services by the end of the year. Despite the shutdown of Google Stadia, Newzoo remains optimistic about the future of cloud gaming, citing the decision to refund hardware and game purchases as a positive move that will prevent a negative impact on player perception. Looking ahead, the market is expected to reach $8.2 billion by 2025.
