Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has just unveiled the roster of exhibitors slated to appear at the upcoming 2026 edition. Among the marquee names confirmed are industry heavy‑weights such as Capcom, Bandai Namco and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be represented through their local partners.

Notably, Sony will be absent from the exhibition floor this time, a contrast to the presence of Nintendo and Xbox at the previous Gamescom event. In addition to the headline brands, a diverse collection of other participants will enrich the showcase. Companies like 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo and several more will set up booths, offering a broad spectrum of hardware, software and services to visitors. The business area is set to host stands from 25 different countries and regions, with dedicated pavilions for Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation Thailand, underscoring the event’s truly international character.

Beyond the exhibition floor, the programme includes a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch contests designed to connect creators with potential partners and investors. Xsolla will sponsor the "Invest Circle and VIP XPerience," a curated environment where developers, publishers and financiers can meet face‑to‑face, exchange ideas and explore funding opportunities. The conference component of the business area will feature more than 70 speakers drawn from over 20 countries, distributed across four distinct stages. Among the headline speakers is John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, who will deliver a keynote titled “Why We Still Make Games.” Romero will also be honoured with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his lasting contributions to the medium.

Other confirmed presenters include Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio, Zhen Fang – Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, Jane Lau – Head of Production at Tencent, Emilio Coppola – Executive Director of the Godot Engine, and Yoan Fanise – Creative Director and founder of DigixArt. Their talks will cover topics ranging from game design and technology trends to business strategies and global market expansion.

The 2026 Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show is being co‑organized by Koelnmesse, Show No Limit and Online Station. "This year we are putting an even stronger emphasis on internationality," explained Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse. He added that the event will bring leading global gaming brands to the entertainment zone while expanding the business area with additional country pavilions, enhanced networking sessions, and greater support for indie developers through a dedicated indie sector and the Thailand Pavilion, which is backed by Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).

Show No Limit’s CEO Pongsuk Hiranprueck highlighted the rapid growth of the Thai market: "Last year’s success, with over 200,000 attendees, clearly demonstrates that Thailand is not just a consumer market but a pivotal cultural and creative‑economy driver across Asia." The upcoming edition will be held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1, 2026. The business area will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B interactions. For context, the inaugural Gamescom x Thailand Game Show attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, while the business area welcomed 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days. These figures illustrate the event’s rapid ascent as a regional hub for gaming culture, business development and cross‑border collaboration, and set a high bar for the 2026 edition to surpass.

Attendees can expect a vibrant mix of exhibition halls showcasing the latest consoles, peripherals, indie titles, and emerging technologies such as cloud gaming, virtual reality and AI‑driven tools. The expanded country pavilions will allow visitors to explore localized gaming ecosystems, meet regional developers, and discover market‑specific trends. Meanwhile, the pitch competitions will give up‑and‑coming studios a platform to showcase prototypes, secure mentorship and potentially attract investment.

Overall, the Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 promises to be a landmark gathering that blends entertainment, business, and education, reinforcing Thailand’s position as a key player in the Asian gaming landscape and offering a truly global stage for the industry’s next wave of innovation.
