Keywords Studios Set to Acquire Smoking Gun Interactive

Keywords Studios, a leading outsourcing firm, has signed an agreement to purchase Smoking Gun, a renowned game development studio. Founded in 2007, Smoking Gun is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, and has developed notable titles including Age of Empires: Castle Siege, Phobies, and Freefall Racers. The studio was established by industry veterans John Johnson, Drew Dunlop, and Angie Pytlewski. According to Keywords, the acquisition of Smoking Gun aligns with its strategic plans to broaden its game development and live operations services. "Smoking Gun's proficiency in developing casual and real-time strategy games for mobile platforms, combined with its live operations expertise, significantly enhances our service offerings to clients," stated Bertrand Bodson, CEO of Keywords Studios.
