EA Originals Forges New Path with Koei Tecmo Partnership

In a strategic move, Electronic Arts has collaborated with Japanese publisher Koei Tecmo, renowned for its Dynasty Warriors series, to co-develop a brand-new AAA intellectual property. The untitled game promises to be a fantasy feudal Japan-set hunting experience, with more details anticipated later this month. This partnership marks a shift in EA Originals' approach, which traditionally focused on collaborating with independent game development studios. Launched in 2016, EA Originals aimed to empower smaller developers and maximize their game's potential. Having published eight titles, including Unravel, A Way Out, and Fe, EA Originals now embarks on a new journey with Koei Tecmo, its first Japanese partner. According to Yosuke Hayashi, Koei Tecmo's executive vice president, 'Partnering with EA Originals is an honor, and we appreciate their commitment to our creative freedom and the comprehensive support they offer in both development and publishing.'
